A completed version of a song I'd originally sketched out in a hurry for The Motion Pictures back in 2008.
Returning to it in 2020, I was shooting for a slow-burn tension on the front, building to a gigantic wall of guitar exploding in the second half. I did not succeed.
'Success' conveys a message of support and encouragement to someone going through tough times, wishing them success and urging them to find hope amidst pain. The lyrics emphasize the importance of staying positive and smiling through challenges, symbolizing resilience and the belief that things will eventually get better. I am writing to myself as much as anyone else.
