An unusual little demo... never released, but only meant as a 'proof of concept' for the power-pop, art-punk band The Motion Pictures. I played bass with them in '07 and '08.
A trippy, claustrophobic little tune with a slow burning fuse, a heavy, driving second movement, and bizarre analog-synth sounds buried deep in the stereo image.
Probably woulda been cool live, coz TMP was the loudest damn band I ever played in. We would've burned that second movement TO THE GROUND.
Curiously, this rough idea was resurrected in 2020 to become the song 'Success?' - if you're curious to compare the two...
