1. Listen

From my 'Christian period'. Oddly, I don't recall writing OR recording this at all, possibly because it's a simple song and could've been done very quickly.

Obvious influence from Buddy Holly, with perhaps a bit of '64 Beatles in there too.

There's a sound you should hear
More than silence in your ears
Could pull the plug on all your fears

Close and lock your gaping mouth
Your plans will only take you south
He'll take you yesterday or now

There's so much in this world
That simply gets in the way
We don't believe in what is sure
But what will surely melt away
Melt away

It is his voice
The one who knitted you for time
The one who knows you and your mind
Can barely fathom how he finds
You any different from the swine
Any different from the swine
