From the recording Under the Lamp Moon and Bittersweet - 1997
Admittedly, this tune barely scrapes above my standard for inclusion in this public archive. The only redeeming features being:
1) A reasonably good chorus
2) A pretty cool transition from the guitar solo / middle 8 back into the rest of the song
3) An acceptable guitar solo in the run out
Ummm............ that's pretty much it.
I apologize for the sucky drum machine. *hangs head*
Lyrics
Tired of turning
Tumbling upside down
I've played the fool, I've played the clown
I stumble and I fumble about
I feel like I'm all put out
Feel like I'm ready to shout
Time I've wasted
When my mood was black
Those days are never coming back
Now I've got something to say
And people may laugh but they
Don't see things your way
But in time I'll learn to love
I'm sorry I took so long
I've seen the violence and the hate
Thankful my thankfulness cannot relate
When I hear something's Zen
I tear it up and throw it back again
And it won't blot out your sin
It costs more than you could ever spend
But in time I'll learn to love
I'm sorry I took so long
