  1. Gentle Wars

From the recording The Furious Bliss - 2010

The last pure 'guitar rock' song I did for several years. I was starting to explore some other musical terrain when I wrote this. I like the lyrics, bass line, and middle eight on this one. The arrangement is pretty decent, too. This was written in 2007, mostly recorded in 2008, but unfinished until 2010 or so...

"Every low point in your life just sets the stage for higher ground"

I should remix it, but... whatevah.

Lyrics

Same arrangement, different places, we adore
A different attachment, same reaction, as before
Afraid to open that closed door

Yes I want you to live
Yes I want you to feel

On economy island, trees are zero - gentle wars
Tell me where are my people, I'm pinned to the steeple
In a town called 'Lonely'

Yes I want you to live
Yes I want you to feel
What else can I give?
That'll help you to heal?

Every low point in your life just sets the stage for higher ground
Every shadow over you opens the door to a brighter time

Yeah I want you to live
Yes I want you to feel
What else can I give?
That'll help you to heal?
