Where the hell did THIS come from?
One of my favorite, and most satisfying 'atmosphere' songs yet. I love all the glitchy sounds and the trippy, slow-motion vibe on this one.
The song is bitter. It's sad. Sad-as-hell, but such is life. Definitely a measure of regret in these words.
Other things I like are the strings, the backwards sounds, the bass line, the mellotron flutes, and the huge middle eight. I rarely sing in falsetto, but this time it really paid off.... The middle kind of has a Radiohead vibe and - believe it or not - I sang that part in one take.
I also hear some Bowie in there.
Could stand some re-mixing.
