Inspired by groups such as Wire and especially Pinback, this song is constructed of several mechanized loops building and playing off each other to create a dense tapestry.
There's also some Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, and Fountains of Wayne in there. Somewhere.
I like the staccato cut off of the ending. The dichotomy of complexity vs. ultimate simplicity was inspired, of course, by the ending of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"
