Jason Rubero: Music

Snowblind (1994)

(Jason Rubero)

Another one from Boise.  I like the groove and all the wah-wah guitar here.  I got some really great, trashy, George-Harrison-esque sounds out of my cheap little distortion unit.

The hypnotic bass line in the verses is kind of based (pun intended) on Echo and the Bunnymen's 'The Cutter' - great song.

The verses of 'Snowblind' are written from the point of view of an addict, which the choruses are my (admittedly judgemental) response to said addict.

I especially like the use of tambourine in the chorus and the ascending notes in the bass line!

Ahhhh... back when music was my little hidden, secret, simple, guilty pleasure.  Seems like such an innocent time, now.  :-)
